Camino Packing List with Kids
Families walk shorter stages, pack lighter, and live on snacks. Here's exactly what to bring for each child plus the parent extras nobody mentions.
Rule of thumb: child's pack ≤ 10% body weight. Anything else rides with a parent or in a transferred bag (Correos, Jacotrans).

- Camp sandals (Tevas)
- 5 pairs merino socks (kids feet sweat more)
- Blister kit sized for small feet
Kid clothing
- 3 quick-dry tees
- 2 hiking shorts/leggings
- 1 fleece
- Packable rain jacket
- Wide-brim sun hat
- 5 underwear
- Sleep set (warm pajamas — albergues get cold)
Kid pack
- 18–24L pack (age 6–10), 28L (11–14)
